Job Description: 
Taylor Farms Texas has a career opportunity available for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance Manager. This person is responsible for the management of all quality assurance and sanitation functions to ensure highly disciplined compliance of all regulatory and company defined food safety and sanitation standards, systems, procedures, and policies. This person will work closely with R&D, Sales, and Operations on the implementation of all regulatory compliance, process and specification changes, and new product introductions. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in food quality assurance; possess a hands-on management approach, strong team leadership abilities, and an innovative mindset.
 
This position reports to the Director of Quality Assurance. 
Requirements: 
  • B.S. in Food Technology or Science or related area is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food quality assurance
  • Must have completed HACCP training
  • Knowledge of all aspects of agriculture procedures and positions.
  • Functional knowledge and experience in the application of SQF Standards
  • Proven leadership skills in a hands-on environment 
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Periodic travel may be required
Skills: 
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills and detail oriented
  • The ability to proactively achieve consistent superior/excellent Food Safety and GMP audit scores
  • General computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control
