Job Description: 
Responsible for ensuring Riceland operations, facilities, products and critical suppliers comply with Riceland food safety policies and regulatory agencies through routine inspections, evaluations and training. Assigned duties include:
 
maintaining thorough knowledge of current corporate policies and concepts and current government laws and regulations related to food, food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, food defense, pesticides and pesticide applications and maintaining thorough knowledge of current food safety certification standards and requirements. Conducting food safety/GMP evaluations; food defense evaluations; food safety audits of consignment warehouses and co-manufacturers; sanitation audits of grain receiving locations and food safety audits of critical suppliers. Serving as primary resource for issues regarding food related regulatory compliance, pest control and pesticides. Assisting in the preparation for 3rd party food safety/GMP certification audits; leading the development of corporate policies and procedures related to food safety, sanitation, GMPs, pest control and pesticide compliance and generating and distributing audit reports, statistics and other data. Various other related duties as assigned.
 
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four year college or technical degree and three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
12 Months of management experience.
Proficient in the use of a personal computer.
Good communication skills.
