Quality Assurance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following, other duties may be assigned. Continuously inspect product, plant, employees, and equipment on the manufacturing floor to ensure quality and food safety standards are met. Sample finished products to assure compliance with customer specifications. Conduct metal detector checks, blade inspections, etc. Report discrepancies and violations along with solutions to the Quality Assurance Supervisor immediately. Complete required documentation (quality, food safety and test forms) honestly and accurately. Works with other departments to implement procedure changes involving raw materials/finished goods to remedy the cause of any non-compliance as quickly as possible. Employee is required to conduct pre-operational sanitation inspections, operational sanitation inspections. The duties include regular completion of Quality and Food Safety, CCP and sanitation paperwork that should ultimately result in no FS deviations. GMP and Sanitation audits are conducted as directed with documented corrective actions and follow-up as necessary.
Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Word Processing software.
