PRIMARY FUNCTION: • The primary function of the Area Manager is to help the company attain and drive its BHAGs through developing and leading a safe, efficient, and flexible QA team. The Area Manager will ensure all production is compliant to the guidelines of GMPs and Food Safety Regulations; as well as, Food Quality expectations. This role will oversee and monitor the performance of QA as it relates to quality, safety, productivity, cost control, teammate training, and leadership development.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Lead the team of QA technicians and dishwash teammates to meet company targets.• Organize, schedule and facilitate QA line activities to ensure conformance to established requirements regarding quality, safety, teammate development, productivity, and cost in the facility on 1st shift.• Able to manage budgets (including supplies and labor) and provide recommendations for improvement.• Oversee the training and development of a fast and flexible workforce • Help lead continuous improvement and cost savings projects in the department.• Ensure team is adhering to safety policies and programs.• Implement safety measures for accident prevention by working with line supervisors and hourly teammates.• Implement and maintain programs created by Quality Assurance including HACCP, SQF, GMPs, and QMS.• Report quality defect issues and work with the team to determine necessary corrective actions.• Support teammate involvement in safety, HOKO, and other improvement activities.• Ensures communication of all critical information to all levels of the team including company updates, safety items, and key performance data to drive improvement.• Able to work with cross functionally with all departments (including warehouse, maintenance, HR, quality assurance and sanitation) to ensure smooth daily production performance.• Strong and effective communication to each level of the organization.• Have strong floor presence and desire not to be behind a desk• Live the Kahiki Vision and Values (Do the Right Thing, Play as a Team)o Demonstrate, though words and actions, commitment to and belief in the Kahiki vision and values. o Demonstrate a strong emphasis on process and execution discipline, personal accountability and performance, and clear, honest, straightforward communication.o Ensure effective interaction with all team members o Works closely with other departments.PERFORMANCE STANDARDS for the position and the criteria that will be used to evaluate your performance: • Safetyo Safety incident rate at or below 2.8• Food Safety/Qualityo SQF Level 3o Consumer Complaints at specified targets• Productivity and Costo Direct Labor cost/#o Departmental Expenses/#o Departmental Staffing and Turnover• What you do o Leadership and contribution to overall success of Kahikio Personal Effectiveness-meeting timelines and developing the QA team to be world class• How you acto Personal interaction, communication and teamwork with internal and external parties, consistent with company values and guiding principle
