Job Description: 
As the Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for the efficient day-to day operation of the Warehouse with particular emphasis on the management of the warehouse personnel and the implementation of warehouse action plans inventory processes and food safety regulations.
Responsibilities & Duties: 
  • Oversees and controls all documentation related to food safety programs (i.e. HACCP, GMP,GFSI benchmarked certifications, FMSA, etc.), and makes recommendations for continued compliance to same, including follow up to identify deficiencies (feedback for protocol adjustments).
  • Develop, implement and follow up internal standards and management systems on Food Safety schemes.
  • Prepares for and participates in annual renewal auditsof Food Safety, Organic, Fair Trade, customer and regulatory (example. FDA).
  • Procure and send for analysis any article of food as needed to assure compliance to provisions of rules and regulations.
  • Assure that conditions of compliance are being met and report to Farming and Development Department.
  • Other complimentary matters on Food Safety or certification schemes implementations (existing or new).
  • Understanding of food safety systems like Primus GFS, SQF, BRC, IFS, FSSC22000, HACCP
  • Experience on SOP’s enforcement, follow up and improvement
  • The candidate must be able to keep up to date all the food safety protocols, logs and archives in an appropriate manner
  • Good skills on personnel training and communication
  • Food Safety training certification or PCQI certification (preferred)
  • 3- 5 years of Management experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Computer applications using MS office and Excel
  • Working knowledge of warehouse/mechanical equipment
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations and the willingness to become certified in one or more of these areas, as necessary
  • Excellent supervisory skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including, weekends and holidays, as needed by the customer
