Job Description: 
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with knowledge of food safety. This opportunity is in Quality Control and advancement within the company is limitless. The candidate would be asked to monitor the food safety programs of an existing food processing plant that produces over 10 million pounds of Veal products per year. The candidate will be able to work, not only with the production team, but integrate with the sales force as well. The facility is state of the art, and no expense has been spared with the design and flow of the operation. The opportunity provides limitless room for advancement, pending the candidate’s willingness to learn, and has a strong work ethic. Benefits are available as well as bonuses and 401k.
 

The HACCP Coordinator / Practitioner would assist the sales team in explaining our process to our top tier accounts. Depending upon the candidate's qualifications, some one or two day seminars may be necessary to shore up the candidates knowledge of food safety, which our company will pay for, ie. HACCP training course, and registered practitioner for SQFI Level 2, which the candidate can take online. The production team that the candidate will be working with has all been here for 20 years and are very knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Berry Veal recently passed the annual GFSI audit, for SQFI Level 2, so the candidate would be expected to monitor and improve upon the existing program.
Ideal Candidate: 
 
  • It would help if the candidate is able to speak some Spanish as well as English.
  • Good math skills.
  • Computer savvy.
  • A small amount of travel may be required, when visiting National customers, but is not a main concern.
