Job Description: 
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with knowledge of food safety. This opportunity is in Quality Control. The candidate would be asked to monitor the food safety programs of an existing food processing plant that produces over 10 million pounds of veal per year. The candidate will work closely with the production team and may integrate with the sales force as well. The facility is state of the art with no expense spared with the design and flow of the operation.  The opportunity provides growth in the field pending the candidate’s willingness to learn and strong work ethic.  Benefits are available including but not limited to bonuses and IRA.

The HACCP Coordinator/Practitioner may assist the sales team in explaining our process to our top tier accounts. Depending upon the candidate’s qualifications, some company paid one or two day seminars may be necessary to improve the candidate’s knowledge of food safety programs. These seminars may require travel to an off-site facility or available online. The production team that the candidate will be working with has been employed with this company for 20 years and is eager to share their experience and knowledge. Berry Veal has passed the GFSI audit for SQFI Level 2, so the candidate would be expected to monitor and improve upon the existing program.
Ideal Candidate: 
  • Beneficial if candidate is able to speak some Spanish as well as English
  • Good math skills
  • Computer savvy
  • Small amount of travel possible when visiting national accounts, but not a main focus
